District of Columbia — According to a Washington Examiner report, Acting Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kevin McAleenan is under investigation regarding leaked confidential plans regarding ICE raids. A few weeks ago, plans of nationwide ICE raids were leaked publicly, forcing officials to postpone the plans. Those plans are set to resume starting Sunday, reports confirmed Friday by President Donald Trump before departing on Marine One.
According to the Washington Examiner, after ICE Director Mark Morgan reported the leaks to the ICE Joint Intake Center, an internal investigation was launched into the matter, which reportedly centers around the Acting Secretary McAleenan and potentially one other individual within DHS. The Washington Post reported the planned raids, which came after a flight with the Acting Secretary and other officials.
